The Prairie Trend With Littlewoods Ireland!

Hey ladies,
I am so delighted to have yet again teamed up with Littlewoods Ireland to share with you some cute and comfy looks from the ‘Prairie trend’.
So I hear you say what is the ‘prairie trend’ and how can it be recreated?!
Prairie chic is a style that overlaps both femininity and hardworking practicality. Floral prints, high necklines with a delicate ruffles and pretty blouses. The colour palette is led by blue and white with pops of soft pinks and dusted mints. Denim is still a strong shout with whites, bight blues and pastels still key.
The Prairie look can easily swerve into either fancy dress or sickly sweet territories, so styling is key. Wear a ruffled top with a pair of boyfriend jeans like I have shown you below or a pretty prairie dress with a pair of chunky biker boots. Throw a leather jacket or a parka over the top of more traditional styles.
With all this in mind I wanted to create something casual, chic and yet practical, keeping in mind the Irish weather!

My first outfit is really a nod to the Prairie trend and ideal for a casual summer’s day.
I absolutely adore the mesh frill top, the tiered silhouette adds a touch of ballerina charm.
I teamed the mint mesh frill top with boyfriend jeans and a nude biker trench, which adds an edgy update.
This trench is most definitely a Tran seasonal cover-up which features cool biker detail.
The coat is given a touch of tailoring with a smart collar, buckled cuffs, waist belt and an oh-so-chic double layer.
I finished this look with a large nude tote bag and a pair of this seasons must haves, the backless loafers.
The pretty embroidered loafers have a slight touch of mint in the detailing which too ties the whole look in.

The second look from the VbyVery collection at Littlewoods Ireland is also all from the new summer collection. This look is a laid back, yet stylish look and just perfect for our summer days.
We all need a good fitting ripped jeans and they can be SO hard to find, well these Ella High waisted jeans are just perfect fit. I styled them with this tie bell sleeve blouse,
I love the powder blue hue and lightweight fabric, which keeps this top appropriate for this season and the oversized tie sleeves.
As you can see this look is all about the accessories with lots of shades of blue.
I added this statement fringe choker as I felt the top of the blouse was quite plain and the blue stone and fierce fringing detail added that little touch of while not being too loud.
To complete the look I teamed it with this really modern tote bag, I just love the striking palette of monochrome and cobalt blue and I know I will get lots of use out of this one as it will also tie in with whites, blues and black.
Last, but oh my, certainly not least, these Lily twist front mules. It’s all about the mules this season and these definitely tick all my boxes. Oh and there very comfy too!
What more could a girls ask for!
