What you wear on the outside directly relates to how you feel on the inside. Therefore, on that note let me introduce you to some of this Spring Summer 2017 trends, which will keep you looking and feeling gorgeous!

Spring is such a great time to give your wardrobe an overhaul and if you want to be ahead of the game for SS17, I will help you get started! Ruffles, florals, frills, bardot tops, midi skirts and dresses, gingham and embroidery are all here to stay for the season ahead and I for one, am so very excited especially for anything with frills or florals!

Ruffles tops, dresses and skirts make any outfit that little bit more fun, feminine and playful
Welcome back the Midi, the sophisticated dress is a great buy and also kind on our hips and thighs. Go for floral printed styles and pair it with heeled ankle boots for now and lace-up heels for warmer days.

Gingham gets a new lease of life and will more than definitely be a huge trend, I am sure you have already seen lots of it hanging around the high street! Add a little splash of gingham to your look, with a bardot style top, pretty dresses or even to your accessories.

Embroidered trainers, Last year saw embroidery and embellishment all over denim, this year the attention has been drawn to the feet. So if you’re not keen on head-to-toe florals, this micro trend is for perfect for you. Soft and subtle yet adding a touch of trend!

Sleeves, sleeve, sleeves!! Fluted, frilled or full, whatever you do this SS17 make sure your sleeves are the focal point of your look just like I have shown you. They are everywhere for spring, so make sure you get ahead and snap up yours now.

Frills and Florals It is mega clear that amongst other things, frills and florals are a huge hit for the coming season. Thought that frills and florals were for childhood entity? Well, for spring/summer 2017 they're back, decorating collars, hemlines and forming all-over cascading tiers, providing us with the most romantic fashion trend

As you all know London Fashion Week has now come to an end and although I wasn’t in attendance I’ve been glued to all forms of social media, watching the catwalks and the street style looks through the eyes of those who attended. This time round, these trends have been given an elegant makeover and are more wearable than ever. Sure, florals still infuse a feminine charm, but add some ruffles which then adds a sense of drama that makes for a perfect evening look.

To avoid looking too sickly-sweet in your floral dress, opt for a structured or exaggerated flounce top and work it with a pair of tailored trousers. Those wanting to only dip into the trend should consider tucking a frilled shirt into a cute fitted pencil skirt for a grown-up look or a try a tiered sleeved dress like I have shown you. While florals are a timeless trend, frills seem to be coming back strongly across the globe. If you already follow my Instagram @rebecca_rose_stylist you will already know that I am huge fan of this trend. The only thing you should be careful about is going overboard with accessories, which might end being a bit too much with all the frills,”

I wanted to show you all three different looks, which include either florals or frills.
Each look exuding instant elegance and frills and florals which add a romantic touch to spring pieces.
This lady in red look from Zara creates cascading tiers in this fabulous sleeve detail teamed with suede pointed toe ankle boots from Littlewoods gives this look the edge.
Another gorgeous look is this floral midi dress from the VbyVery collection at Littlewoods offers a feminine charm to this cold shoulder piece along with the frills and florals proving themselves to be more wearable than ever.

Lastly is this simple and easy to wear wrap dress from Iclothing, which has a small touch of floral, set amongst a black background and delicate ruffled trims, adds textural interest to a more subtle look.
So as I said this season looks set to embrace a more playful, feminine way of dressing. Ruffle up, we're in for a wavy ride. Love it or hate it, the flower plays a huge role in the spring scenery. You don’t have to spend a fortune, you can add small touches and don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun because after all that’s what it’s all about!
Stylishly yours,
Rebecca Rose Xx
