Happy Wednesday my lovelies!
I hope you're all having a nice week so far :)
The weather has been beautiful, let’s hope it lasts! Sunday was such a fab day; I took the opportunity to shoot some pics of my outfit before heading to dinner with my family to Yamamori, in the city centre. It was such a perfect evening drinking prosecco, eating out and strolling around the city munching on some yummy Murphy's ice cream and there was just such a great buzz around the city!
For my look, I opted for a black and cream ensemble consisting of culottes and fringing, two of my favourite trends at the moment. I absolutely adore these culottes not only because they are high wasted and so comfy but because of the super cool splits up the sides. I styled the culottes(here) with a sleeveless cream fringed top(here) and matching black jacket(here)all from Zara. My shoes are Nine West and were perfectly comfortable for all that walking.
So why not give those jeans and skirts a break for a while and opt for this seasons more fun and fabulous trend, the culottes! This Spring/Summer there’s a new silhouette out, and I will explain precisely how to style it! That’s right ladies, I said culottes. I am completely in love with this trend, the chic simplicity of them and I’ve been adding them into wardrobe whenever possible. They’re a fab warm-weather work staple, not nearly as problematic as their reputation may lead you to believe. The culottes are more than definitely an option that can be dressed up or down and I love the fact that there are a huge selection on the high street right now!
Here is my advice to you, first off find a pair that is high-waisted, just like the ones I am showcasing here. The secret to pulling off these bad boys is to make them elongate your body rather than shorten it. Then pull on a pair of heels to add more slimming style to your outfit. Finally, choose a form fitting top to balance the volume of fabric on your lower half and stay away from the flowing loose fitting tops. For more of a casual look, I love a cute bodysuit or T-shirt tucked in with a blazer or leather jacket for the super cool street style look.
