Making Noise for Aware

Happy Sunday guys! I love waking up on a Sunday morning and feeling fresh!
As you all probably already know I attended an event on Friday night in House on Leeson street Dublin and it was such an amazing night. As I had previously explained, Friday night’s event was in aid of raising awareness for mental health. Three hundred bloggers were invited to come together to help make a difference and use the power of social media to help break the stigma that is attached to mental health.

Covet Mimi were the organisers of the event and what a night it was. There were cocktails and nibbles on the night and I had the opportunity to mingle with all my fellow bloggers. Something which we don’t get to do very often, so that was incredibly enjoyable.
There were many speakers on the night which were exceptionally inspirational and moving. The speakers included Meghann Scully, reporter for Goss.ie, Rosemary Mc Cabe, Deputy Editor of Stellar magazine, Alan Quinlan talented sportsman and Jenni Murphy, personal trainer and body builder. The MC for the night was fashion editor and blogger James Patrice Butler.

It was great to hear so many different stories on the night which made me very aware that all of us at any time in our lives can come across and suffer from difficult situations, which can lead us to having anxiety and sadness. Always be mindful that everyone is battling their own fight.
However it is important remember that it is ok not to feel ok and to ask for help, whether that be to a family member, friend or GP, there will always be someone closer than you think that is willing to listen. Always surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you and cut those out of your life that hasn’t your best interests at heart.
From a young age, my dad has always told us that it’s nice to be important but more important to be nice and as I grow older I see myself quoting these words a lot more.
They are definitely words that we should all live by!

Now on to my outfit of the night, I knew this event was going to be a very fashionable night with lots of bloggers putting their best foot forward so opted for this fringed black jumpsuit. I picked this Jumpsuit up in River Island at Christmas and once I seen it I fell in love. However there was only a size 10 left and when I tried it on it was way too big. I was so disappointed and had to walk away.
I checked online but to my major displeasure the jumpsuit had all sold out, everywhere.
Nevertheless a few days before Christmas I was in the Marshes shopping centre, having a little peek in River Island and on the ‘last chance to buy’ rail, there it was the black fringed jumpsuit in a size 8! And what is more, it was reduced from a staggering €80 to €35. As you can imagine I skipped to that cash desk!!
This jumpsuit was limited edition and so unfortunately guys, it hasn’t come back into stock. However I have found a similiar one here.
I choose to accessorise this look with silver and grey tones, with these gorgeous court shoes from Missguided, silver fringed bag from River Island, along with gel nails and cute jewellery.
I hope you like this look as much as I did.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, catch up again soon
