Trend Alert - Fringed Capes & Faux Fur Gilets!

Over the weekend I had the amazing opportunity to showcase some of Hollyblues fabulous collection of fringed capes and gilets. Hollyblue is based in Monaghan Town and has a wide variety of dresses, jeans, tops, jackets and capes.

One of my favourite autumn essentials, is a fringed cape, you can see how I’ve styled them and how versatile they are. These fringed capes are a great layering piece that can be worn in many ways, with jeans, dresses, skirts, the list is endless. I always like to layer a cape over a little roll neck, this keeps the look simple allowing the stunning suede cape to do the talking!

This key trend is an easy way to complete any outfit and is also a very cool transitional piece and is great this time of year because the Irish weather is so unpredictable.

Another fashion forward feature to any winter wardrobe this season is a faux fur gilet. Not only will it ensure you are right on trend but it also serves a practical purpose, offering the necessary body warmth when braving the cold. Keep things pretty when wearing yours with a floral dress or opt for lightweight layers underneath like I have shown, which will avoid you looking boxy or bulky. I particularly love this faux fur gilet because of its different hues of grey, brown and blue along with the pretty grey leather clasps at the sides which adds a touch of uniqueness to this particular gilet.
