Hi guys,

So today I had a day off and I took the opportunity to run some errands in town, I needed something fashionable yet comfortable and practical. I choose to layer up with some cool key pieces. I opted for a pair of black skinny jeans from River Island, a little white t-shirt and denim shirt from Zara, a khaki green military style jacket from Topshop, a cute plaid scarf from Aldo and white skaters from Topshop.

Now that the temperatures are starting to drop, you’ll need to start bundling and cozying up if you want to survive the outdoor weather comfortably. Aside from wearing chunkier items of clothing, one way to keep warm this autumn is to layer. Layering allows you to create different looks, too, and what’s great about it is that you don’t have to buy new pieces to layer because you can simply make do with what you already have in your wardrobe. One thing about layering, is that it tends to make you look bulky but that’s a fairly easy issue to resolve.

Here are some tips on layering for autumn to help you achieve a warm and chic outfit as well as a nicely balanced silhouette.

Limit it to three layers - A typical combo would be a light cotton t-shirt, a jacket then a scarf or a coat, like have just shown you Keep it thin - thinner pieces are more ideal for layering. You are going to be piling them on top of each other anyway which will create warmth

Choose your fabrics wisely - there are fabrics that you can wear that aren’t as thick and heavy and chunky but are just as comfy Keep it interesting –by adding sophisticated accessories or a pop of color into the mix, like I have shown. Don’t be afraid to mix and match –Remember that the print on print trend is pretty much still hot and also don’t be afraid to wear light and colorful hues

I Hope these tips help you layer your way through autumn, have a great week!
