Wow! What a week I have had. Last Wednesday night I was judging the most stylish lady competition at Monaghan’s first Stylefix fashion show and what a fun night it was. Make sure you stay tuned later in the week to hear all about my night!

On Saturday morning I had a 7am rise as I was heading to Dublin for the day to meet my ultimate style icon, Olivia Palermo!!! I have talked about Olivia for a very long time now, at home, to my friends and on my blog and I could not believe that I was actually going to meet this fashionista! For the occasion I decided to wear a little orange A-line skirt, a brown ribbed roll neck and my favourite leopard print boots all which is from River Island. I then accessorised my outfit with a brown Michael Kors satchel and Michael Kors watch. All of which was cute, comfortable and casual, as I intended on doing some shopping afterwards.

The meet and greet was in collaboration with the beauty brand Ciaté and some of us extremely lucky people had the opportunity of meeting Olivia! The lovely collection consists of meticulously designed cosmetics in luxurious packaging all which is available at Brown Thomas. So the morning had arrived and I was making sure I was going to be near the top of the queue in Brown Thomas and I wasn’t wrong. My mum, sister and I arrived well ahead of schedule so we grabbed a quick coffee before making our way into Brown Thomas. We were fourth in the queue and I could hardly contain my excitement.

Olivia arrived at 12.05 and quickly got to work, meeting and greeting all her waiting fans.

As it got to my turn my heart was beating so fast, I don’t know if I was more nervous or excited or just a mixture of both. I shook Olivia’s hand explaining how thrilled I was to meet her and how she was my idol! I also went on to explain that I had recently begun my fashion blog and she wished me the best of luck with it all and very kindly signed her autograph.

Olivia claims people who work hardest on their dreams do best and wrapped up by revealing that I was very sweet! I couldn’t have asked for a better morning and I left Brown Thomas on a high. I can now tick Olivia Palermo off my list as one of the most inspiring people I ever wanted to meet.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend xx
